Lake Kampeska, Watertown, SD

On this project, we started with dirt work to change the rolling hill into usable horizontal space.  We added a block retaining wall on two different levels to create the photo on the right.  Concrete rock-faced steps were placed, then rock to prevent erosion from under the steps.  Finally, sand twas brought in o create the perfect surface to walk on when barefoot in the summer!

Lake Poinsett, Estelline, SD

On this project, the slope was leveled off and tiered.  Then retaining walls were installed.

Note the radius of the middle wall -the edges go back to allow a smoother transition to the next tier down.

Radius of 17' and larger can be achieved with standard block.

Overgrown vegetation and a steep slope prevented access to this area of the property.  The same area is pictured after landscaping and installing a retaining wall with a foot-friendly sand area.

Lake Poinsett, Estelline, SD

THIS is where it all started... on the shore of Lake Poinsett, SD.

The hillside / shoreline was modified and retaining walls  were built to stabilize the soil and make the lake accessible.

Boat ramps were added for the boat house and access steps were set in place.
